Step into the garden apothecary and spend an afternoon learning the traditional art of working with herbs.
Join The Green Goddess for a hands-on Kitchen Witch Apprentice workshop exploring five beloved medicinal and culinary herbs: yarrow, calendula, rose, sage, and lemon balm.
Throughout the afternoon, we’ll get to know each plant beyond simply reading its name on an ingredient list. We’ll talk about how these herbs can be grown or responsibly gathered, which parts are used, when and how to harvest them, ways to preserve them, and some of the traditional preparations that have made them staples of the home apothecary for generations.
Then we’ll put that knowledge into practice.
Together, we’ll create a collection of five herbal preparations and take-homes, each showcasing a different way of working with plants. You’ll blend a traditional yarrow, elderflower and peppermint tea; make a calendula-infused balm; prepare a beautiful rose elixir; create a jar of sage-infused honey; and explore botanical distillation through lemon balm hydrosol.
You’ll leave with your creations, a full-size bottle of The Green Goddess Lemon Balm Hydrosol, your Kitchen Witch Apprentice certificate, and a comprehensive take-home herbal guide filled with recipes, herbal information, growing and harvesting tips, and inspiration to help you continue building your own home apothecary.
We’ll also enjoy lemon balm tea together so you can experience this beautiful herb in more than one form — from its flavour and aroma in the cup to the botanical water captured through distillation.
This workshop is designed for the curious beginner. No previous herbal experience is needed — just an interest in plants and a desire to learn.
