Directions:

Apply a pea-sized amount to underarms and rub in.

Cautions:

As some people are sensitive to baking soda deodorants, always do a patch test before general use and discontinue if irritation occurs. See below for a Tip from The GG! Store away from children. For external use only.

GG Tip:

Although this is an incredibly effective deodorant, baking soda deodorants can cause irritation in some individuals. Experiences can range from no problems whatsoever, to mild discomfort and/or a rash (which can pass), to a reaction that can end up being quite severe in some people. Please watch for discomfort or rashes that continue to worsen and discontinue use if necessary.

GG Tip #2:

Sometimes the antidote to having a negative reaction with a baking soda deodorant is to apply something acidic to your armpits before applying your deodorant (because baking soda is alkaline). We have found that applying apple cider vinegar or lemon juice to the armpit (spritzing or using a cotton pad) helps significantly in some cases to lessen the chance of having a reaction. Try it and let us know how it works for you!

Wow!

This stuff is fantastic! My previous brand of deodorant had a very strong perfume to it and as a nursing mom that really did not sit well with me. I just got Nike's Benevolence and I'm absolutely floored by its staying power! If you smell the jar it has the lightest coconut scent, but once it is applied there is truly no scent! It works so much better than any other deodorant I've tried, I'm very happy with it!

Love that this unscented deodorant is working for you so well! I really felt it was importing to offer something with zero essential oils for nursing or expectant moms, or those who just wish to avoid aromas completely. Thank you for the wonderful feedback!!

I do get a bit of irritation after I shave my armpits that I never experienced with store bought deodorant, but only lasts a day or so.

Thank you Tina for sharing your experience and the post-shave warning! Yes, the baking soda + freshly shaved skin can equal sensitivity!! Hey - you might like to know that I am currently reformulating our deodorant with the intention of getting it in a stick-form for easier application, and that I plan to make it more gentle to avoid sensitivity Also, in case you didn't know, I do make a sensitive skin deodorant if this deodorant feels a bit much at times. Let me know if you'd ever like to try it!

Natural deoderant that works!

It has been years since I decided to go off grocery store deoderant, but finding one that actually works was a bit of a challenge. I have been using this for likely 5 years and have nothing but good to say. I can go anywhere without worrying that I will begin to smell.
Nike's spear is my favorite scent.
