Learn to make roses and rhubard mead with internationally award-winning mead maker Kristeva Dowling!
Crafted once a year, the mead we'll be making - Blush & Thorn is a true celebration of summer’s fleeting beauty. Hand-harvested wild Alberta rose petals—gathered by Kristeva and Eric over days of careful foraging—are blended with tart rhubarb and prairie honey to create a mead that is both delicate and bold. This melomel is not only a labour of love but also one of our most cherished seasonal creations.
You will learn how to make mead, discuss local ingredients and ancient techniques, you'll get to taste samples, you will go home with a starter recipe, and you will get 2 bottles of mead you've made once it's done fermenting and has been bottled!!
All ingredients are Alberta-sourced, and our mead celebrates the land it comes from. With the rise in interest around local food and fermentation, this workshop is a great fit for goddesses who value sustainability, tradition, and great taste.
